Perhaps the most important component of the Traverse gap year program is discovering purpose in life by serving others. We were designed to be agents of blessing. Our gifts, talents and abilities are ours to share. Whatever profession or vocation we choose, it is the service that adds real meaning to life. Participants will
discover many opportunities to serve close to home. International projects will open the windows of the world through travel and by working with people in a variety of cultural contexts.

The SERVICE component is based on the  idea that strength is for service, not status. Our gifts, talents and abilities are ours to share. Whatever profession or vocation we choose, it is the service that adds real meaning to life. Traverse participants discover many opportunities to serve close to home and the International projects open windows to the world while serving with people in a variety of cultural contexts.
