These children were captured on camera during a visit to Belize. They marched in line up and down this dirty water way, created by a recent cloud burst, taking turns being the leader, each time they reversed course.

The best leaders know how to follow, when to lead, how to take turns and even change course when necessary. The Culture & Leadership Track provides opportunities for participants to discover and develop their own leadership skills in real life situations and to foster a cultural curiosity that reaches beyond borders and embraces the needs and ideas of people around the world.

CULTURE & LEADERSHIP AS A SPECIALTY

Gap year participants who choose the  CULTURE & LEADERSHIP TRACK as their area of focus spend extra time learning to lead from experienced business and ministry leaders. They are also given additional opportunities to shadow medical missions to Peru or Nepal, help create a community service program for the older children at an orphanage in East Africa and

teach Islanders how to grow box gardens.
